Keeping therapy human in the age of AI.
Since AI is here to stay, I help people and organizations use it safely alongside therapy without losing what makes us human: connection, love, accountability, and embodied care.
AI & Psychotherapy.
Artificial intelligence is already shaping how people reflect on their lives. Unfortunately, some people are using AI as a replacement for psychotherapy. As understandable as that is, it carries some risks.
Psychotherapy is not only information; it is relationship. Artificial relationships should not replace human connection. AI cannot replace attunement, accountability, or embodied care.
At the same time, as a companion to therapy, AI can be helpful in moments when deep human attunement is not required. This includes basic skills coaching, journaling, psychoeducation, and preparing for or deepening therapy sessions.
My work is at the intersection of AI, mental health, and consciousness, without trying to replace what only human presence can provide.
We need to see beyond catastrophic thinking. We should not demonize AI; we cannot stop it. We need to learn to live with it and use it properly.
The Potential Space*.
When people use AI as a replacement for relationships, bad things can happen, and some already have. However, I believe that, with proper guardrails, AI can become an ally to psychotherapy.
Since people are already using AI around therapy, I developed “The Potential Space” as an AI companion designed to support users between sessions for preparation, psychoeducation, and integration.
It is not psychotherapy.
It is not crisis care.
It does not replace human relationships.
It is a structured space for reflection alongside therapy and life.
